Remind me again why the Flotilla is directed TOWARDS Gaza?

  1. It's directed towards Gaza because Gaza is under siege - no one can enter or leave. Gaza is reguarly attacked from the air, the sea and from land by Israel. Thousands of Palestinians have been killed in the past decade by ordnance fired from Israel into Gaza.
That is why the flotilla is directed towrads Gaza; Gaza is the only population in the world that is under siege.

  2. That's nonsense and you know it. I have a friend from school who is in Gaza for the summer. I know people who have visited three and four times. Stop believing everything you hear. Gaza is not even considered a third world country by the UN. It's smack dab in the center tier

  3. After rockets were fired at Israeli cities for nine years - after Israel left the Gaza Strip - Israel finally retaliated. It is called self-defense. Sure, there are problems but it is mostly because of Hamas. If Hamas were to stop shooting rockets and return Gilad Shalit to his parents, then the people there would be able to leave and travel and people would be able to visit -- even by sea. Then there would be no need for a blockade.

  4. Nuha Masri a UC berkeley student is visiting Gaza for the second time in two years. If it were really a place where "no one can enter or leave", do you think a misc student could have managed to "enter and leave" not once, but twice? Be realistic here. If no one could "enter and leave", why are they building 5 star hotels in Gaza?
